Housebreaking

One of the most difficult aspects of owning a dog is housebreaking. Every dog will occasionally have an accident, but we’re not talking about those. I’m talking about the puppy who pees and poops everywhere. Who has never learned good potty habits from the start. I’m talking about the dog who pees in his crate. Or the dog who goes out in the grass to pee then comes right back in and poops in the house? Or maybe the dog who goes to the most remote part of the house to leave you a present, only to be discovered a week later?

My housebreaking program is a diligent effort to teach your dog to eliminate on a schedule to suit your busy lifestyle, so you can get out the door on time in the mornings and not be late for work. To teach him to go immediately when it’s pouring rain outside, and my favorite…to go on command at different locations, such as the filling station you stop at while on vacation.

It will not give you a dog who will bark to let you know he needs to go out, or one that will go to a door and ring a bell! Those behaviors can easily be incorporated into your pet’s elimination schedule in your home. Many dogs are relinquished to shelters because of peeing and pooping in the home, and it is my goal to keep your pet in your clean home.

Our dog training programs change yearly.
